Dr. Kayla Faulkner PT, DPT
Dr. Kayla Faulkner received her Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion from Florida Atlantic University in August of 2017 where she was also a member of the Women’s D1 Soccer Program. She then continued her graduate studies at the University of St.Augustine and graduated in December 2020 with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree. Kayla has had over a year of independent clinical experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings. During her outpatient clinical experience she worked with a vast amount of orthopedic patients with ages varying from 18-100 with various conditions. Her inpatient experience consists of working with Cardiopulmonary, Neuromuscular, Orthopedic, Pediatric, Geriatric, and Psych patients, etc. She is currently studying for her Strength and Conditioning Certification and aspires to continue learning advanced evidence based research.
In her personal life, Kayla enjoys exercising, playing soccer, spending time with her family, and volunteering with her local community. During her studies Kayla volunteered at the Special Olympics in Orlando, Fl in 2019 and also volunteered for Rock Steady Boxing with the Parkinson’s population in 2020. Currently she volunteers with Memorial Rehab Institute Adaptive Sports and Recreational Program where she assists with recreational activities to inspire the physically challenged community.
